Crazy finger puppets

I am always looking for new things to entertain and keep Nyla's busy during the weekend.

I bought that lamaze wrist and sensory sock, you know the black and white socks with attached butterfly and bug. Luq love that.

So last weekend we made finger puppets. It kept Ny occupied and mummy is happy helping her paste all the colourful stuffs on the felt. Doing craft is very therapeutic for me.

Things you need:-

1. Colourful felt cut into shapes.
2. Scissors
3. Craft glues
4. mini pom pom
5. Wiggly eyes
6. Pipe cleaners
7. Colourful ribbons

And once they'e done, they become the perfect companion to singing, playing and story telling.

Eid Lantern

I often did craft sessions with Ny on weekend.

During the first week of Ramadan, we did some lantern to hang at the balcony. S have also hang twinkle and fairy lights. Dah taruk lampu lap lip ni mcm lagi rasa nak raya.

I love fairy lights, like pelangi. (She learn the word pelangi from watching too much upin and ipin )

Our Hari Raya mcm Chinese punya Hari Raya eh, macam Cong Xi Fa Cai.

Woorrrhhh, I don't see that coming, mcm mana nak explain eh...

I asked S to explain to her, he replied with a very tajam jelingan, which i find really sexy. I excuse myself, untuk angkat kain. bahahahaha....

Lantern template from, in my studio. They have new design this year a black and pink design, but I think the green goes well with my balcony. I love love love Iva's website.

Sewing a skirt

I get frustrated when Ny could no longer fit her top, her pants, her skirt, her legging. Buy today and in a month time dah tak muat. Boring betol!

So I resort to my trusty sewing machine, and sew her skirts!

I dont have any sewing lesson or whats so ever just basic sewing skill, jenis tekan the pedal and thats it.

I watch a few youtube channel for a simple little skirt, this one below is the best.

After watching the tutorial, I was determine... Macam simple ajer. I can do this

Found some fabric stash, get Ny's waist measurement. Believe it or not she is 27".

S commented 'Another 4" she can wear my jeans already'

Pin here, pin there and press the pedal.

And........ Voila!!!!!!

Ready in half an hour!

Come here, Ny. Mummy sew you a skirt. Cantik tak?

I dont want. Not Nice!!!! I want pink skirt!

Nice what. Mummy suka.

Not nice!!! the skirt like ayah wear to sembayang.

U better wear eh Nyla Syakila!!!!!

Ok lah ok lah.

That fabric is definitely not S kain pelikat ah.

I got it from arab street, 1 meter $3.50 only.

Ny's first school project - Farm Animals

When Ny received a note from her teacher on parental involvement project, I was totally on to do a good job. First time mah. Semangat habis.

I googled and found this on Pinterest.

We did our version, purchase tube cleaners from spotlight for $3.80 per pack (it was on 50% discount), bought some paint brushes, because Crayola paint brushes are for babies. Since Ny have a really short attention span, we stretch and did the project within 3 weeks.
