A Little Big Apple

We were lazing around the sofa when S mention....'Wanna go for a short Holiday? Just Us'

I sat up instantly with sparkling eye and a hopeful smile (tak tau lah kalau my eyes betol betol sparkle at that time, cuma I very the excited and typing the sentence 'sparkling eyes' seems to emphasis the excitedness)

Ok back to sofa scene...

Since he said short trip, I was thinking of Phuket (oooohhh I love that place, their sea, sun, sand, suntan lotion, island hoping, diving, snorkeling, elephant ride, food, hotel, massage, oh I can go on and on) or Hong kong(never been there), Bandung (another place I love) or even Bintan... den he said the words..
'BIG APPLE'

Hell No.... That is not a short trip... I was looking at his face.. No he was not kidding... I have so many things to settle within a short 2 week notice. The Bestie boys - No sleep till Brooklyn was playing over and over again in my head. Mental checklist, to visit that Brooklyn bridge and that famous Brooklyn flea market.

We were left with 2 weeks to plan for a 2 weeks vacation.

I have to search and practically beg a CM from another site to cover my duty. I was wailing at him close to tears, soo close, 'Bro.. I will do anythinggggggggggggg' So he agreed on a 'I heart NY' T shirt a mug, a magnet and if possible a signature from Kim Kardashian. Mabok ker apa? Shes in LA lah. . I'll buy him 5 magnets and photoshop Kim's signature.

I practically rummage through my wardrobe to see what I can sell to get some extra cash for that trip. Ebay and craiglist are heaven send.

Since S is doing the ticketing, I am left to do other major research for the trip.

I applied for ESTA, since we do not need to have a VISA to enter United States, we need to apply for ESTA. No ESTA no Time Square.

Search on line for accommodation, we turn to airbnb instead of the normal hotel. Mar recommend a few good locations and some advice and tips for NYC.

I heard the weather was hectic. Damn all my winter clothes, coats and boots were on loan by the aunt and cousin for their Geneva trip. I have to korek what ever is left and just dump it in the luggage.

I am currently still at work, day dreaming of the statue of liberty. I promise my self its a 'tengok negeri orang' kind of trip and not a shopping trip.

Lulu stay warm and I'll see you in a week or two. Adios.

Big apple here I come.
